Introduction

This project aims at providing the most comprehensive set of locales for GNU libc. GNU libc maintainers have a very conservative approach, so making changes is quite hard and requests are stalled for months before being processed.

This project takes an opposite approach: release early, release often. We believe that after several tries and fails, locales become in a better shape.

Resources

We currently use the following resources on Alioth:

• A Task manager.
• A Bug tracker.
• The belocs-locales-data mailing list. Normally this list should receive every message about locales, including changes in task manager or bug tracker.

Debian packages

Debian packages are available for the unstable distribution.
